AWANA was founded in 1950 in Chicago and is a nondenominational, Bible-based, Christ-centered club that welcomes children from all backgrounds, both churched and unchurched. Today, with an unwavering commitment to the Gospel, AWANA is being used to reach over 5 million kids weekly in 134 countries. Stamford AWANA Club
has been serving the community since 2006 and is staffed by volunteers from 10+ area churches. Our caring trained Leaders invest time and wisdom into shaping kids' lives by focusing together on God's Word, the Bible (ESV).
AWANA = Approved Workers Are Not Ashamed from 2 Timothy 2:15 : Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
We meet September thru May on Thursday nights from 6:30 - 8:15 pm at Stamford Baptist Church and offer the following age groups: Cubbies (3-4 yrs), Sparks (K-2nd), Truth & Training (3-6th), Trek (7-8th)
